The Present Lounge at The Select (Sandy Springs)

A Sandy Springs holiday institution, The Select goes all out for the festive season with baubles, faux snow, and even upside-down Christmas trees dangling from the ceiling. While the decor is reason enough to visit The Present Lounge pop-up bar, the drinks are well worth lingering over. The indoor-outdoor layout provides plenty of seating, but the uber-popular bar is first-come, first-serve and fills up fast around the holidays. Be sure to arrive early to snag a spot and a spiked hot chocolate.

When can I visit The Present Lounge?

The Select’s Present Lounge is open during regular restaurant hours beginning at 4 pm and running until 10 pm through the end of the year. Free parking is available at the City Springs underground garage. This is one of Atlanta’s best holiday bars, so reservations are highly recommended. The full holiday cocktail menu is available with regular dinner service as well.

Holiday Hideaway at Drawbar (West Midtown)

Tucked away inside The Interlock’s Bellyard hotel, Holiday Hideaway is a grown-up version of your classic Christmas bar. With twinkling lights, plush seating, and just the right amount of holiday charm, it’s the perfect mix of sophisticated and snug. The seasonal cocktails are pure magic — think spiced elixirs (Cider & Spice) and wintry classics reimagined with a creative twist (old fashioned-inspired Santa’s Nightcap). Swing by to soak in the views, sip something merry, and enjoy a holiday vibe that feels a little elevated and a lot inviting. Holiday Hideaway is open now through December 30th.

Apres Ski at Ranger Station (Old Fourth Ward)

Holiday festivities take a turn for the rowdy at this popular Alpine-themed bar above the Beltline’s favorite Ladybird Grove & Mess Hall. During the holidays, the rustic lodge-inspired space gets an apres ski makeover with retro decor, twinkling lights, and plenty of tinsel. Creative cold weather-themed cocktails like the Polar Vortex with candy cane-infused vodka or the group-friendly Ranger Clark’s Nog set the scene, while shotskis and fondue warm you from the inside out.

Amore e Amore’s The North Highland Pole (Inman Park)

An Inman Park institution with a flair for the festive, Amore e Amore goes all out for the holidays with tip-to-toe tinsel, twinkling lights, and glittering garland. Italian fare is the order of the day here, but festive seasonal cocktails add even more holiday spirit to the already over-the-top vibe. Amore e Amore’s holiday pop-up runs from November 6 through December 24. If you’re looking for something extra special, the family-run restaurant hosts an annual Holly Jolly Christmas Eve Dinner inspired by the Italian Feast of the Seven Fishes on December 24 from 4 to 9 pm.

Hamp & Harry’s: A Nutcracker Joint (Marietta)

With its small-town feel and vintage vibe, Marietta Square is the perfect spot to soak up some holiday cheer. Hemp & Harry’s is embracing seasonal nostalgia with a Nutcracker-themed pop-up, complete with whimsical decor, themed cocktails, and delicious homestyle fare. Hamp and Harry’s Nutcracker Joint pop-up is on now through New Year’s Eve.

Island vibes meet Christmas cheer at Tiki Holiday, The S.O.S Tiki Bar’s beloved seasonal pop-up. Highlights include holiday sips with a tiki twist (rum-spiked hot chocolate, anyone?), festive tunes, and a menu of all-you-can-eat bites. While there really isn’t a bad seat in the house, the bar is particularly exciting, especially when the shot train comes around the corner. Exotic decor and unique yuletide-tinged sips make this Decatur pop-up a refreshing change of pace from the typical tinsel-covered holiday bar.

When can I visit Tiki Holiday?

Tiki Holiday bar runs from November 27 through December 28. The holiday bar is open Wednesday through Saturday from 6 pm until midnight.

Tinsel Tavern at The Battery Atlanta (Smyrna)

Smyrna’s hub of holiday action can be found inside Live! At the Battery. From November 29 to December 28, Tinsel Tavern lives up to its name with an explosion of glittery garland setting the scene for festive fun just steps from the Braves stadium. Sip on holiday cocktails (the punchbowl is a must-try seasonal staple for a group) and try tasty bites any night during December, but keep your eyes peeled for special events like holiday karaoke, a silent disco, and an ugly sweater party.

When can I visit Tinsel Tavern?

Holiday pop-up bar Tinsel Tavern runs from November 29 to December 28. Tinsel Tavern opens daily at 5 pm and closes at 11 pm on Sunday through Thursday, 1 am on Friday, and 2 am on Saturday. Rreal Tacos (Multiple)

This Atlanta taco chain is getting into the festive spirit with pop-ups at all seven of its metro area locations. November 21 through December 31, look out for Christmas cheer with a Latin American twist, including festive tunes, a winter wonderland of colorful decor, and creative cocktails like tequila-spiked Abuelita hot chocolate and a Puerto Rican spin on eggnog with coconut rum and coconut cream. To make spirits extra bright, order up a round of the restaurant’s infamous Titanic shots — 12 Christmas-themed shooters in flavors like eggnog-inspired El Rudolph or the tequila and apple pucker-packed El Grinch.

Rreal Tacos is hosting holiday pop-up bars at all seven of its Atlanta-area locations: Midtown, West Midtown, Chamblee, Sandy Springs, Cumming, Sugar Hill, and Buckhead.

Marlow’s Tavern is getting in on the holiday cheer with a festive new pop-up cozy enough to even temp Santa with a night off. Expect all the usual trimmings (twinkling lights, glittering decor) alongside seasonal spirits (bourbon-spiked eggnog and the prosecco-based Snow Globe) and a new selection of holiday plates, including Turkey Merry Meatballs and Poinsettia Pizzetta.
